Jazz for Ukraine, at The Old Market, Hove, on Sunday, 21 January, is an afternoon of fabulous live music, bringing together leading UK and European musicians, local artists and young players.
Jazz for Ukraine aims to raise £3000 to support War Child. A national representative from the charity will open the event with a presentation on their work in Ukraine. All concert funds will go to the War Child's Ukraine programme.
The concert includes Brighton & Hove Youth Big Band and the jazz quintet Squint from the Royal Northern College of Music. The headline act is the wonderful Ukrainian singer-composer Ganna Gryniva performing in her first UK concert. There will also be a foyer exhibition of new art by refugee children in Brighton & Hove.
