A New Home for Our Weekly Ukrainian Community Drop-in!
We are thrilled to announce that our weekly Ukrainian community drop-in is moving! Starting from Saturday, 6th September 2025, we invite all Ukrainians, their families, and supporters to join us at our new, welcoming location.
A Place to Connect
More than just a support session, our drop-in is a place to find community and a warm welcome. We would be delighted to see you at Brighton Elim Church in Patcham. Join us for a free cup of tea or coffee, connect with familiar faces, and meet new friends in a relaxed and friendly space.
Expert Advice & Practical Help Available
Our team of dedicated volunteers and professional partners will be available to offer free, confidential advice and practical support. On the day, you can expect to find:
Culturally-Aware General Advice: Members of the Stand for U team will be on hand to help you with questions about adapting to life in the UK. Our advisers are familiar with the social and cultural backgrounds of both Ukraine and the UK.
Specialist Support from Our Partners:
Citizens Advice: For expert guidance on work, housing, or immigration. (Please note: these sessions are conducted in English only).
DWP Adviser: For dedicated support with benefits and job searching. (Please note: sessions are in English, but the adviser understands Ukrainian).
Practical Hands-on Support:
Social Prescriber: For help with filling out forms and connecting you with other essential services across the city. (This adviser understands Ukrainian and can provide support in Russian.)
Please note that the availability of specialist advisers can vary from week to week, and support sessions should be booked in advance.
