We want to invite you to our Ivana Kupala event that will take place in Preston Park on Sunday, the 9th of July, at 4pm.
Ivana Kupala is an ancient and mysterious Ukrainian holiday that was usually celebrated on Midsummer day. We want to share our traditions with you and let you learn more about the beauty and magic of Ukrainian culture.
It's the second time this holiday is celebrated in Brighton - last year, our team started this tradition, and you all loved it. We are so excited to invite you to celebrate it with us again this year.
There is going to be a small theatre performance, folk craft workshops, singing, dancing, lots of fun, and there may even be a Ukrainian fortune teller (the absolute star of last year's event)
People of all ages are welcome, so take your family with you. We reckon your kids will like the event too.
There is also going to be an opportunity for you to donate to help us buy medicine for Ukrainians and to donate to support our community in Brighton. And you will have a chance to buy lots of nice traditional and modern Ukrainian things.
For more info, please, follow this event page. We are going to post more about the event itself, what kinds of workshops there's gonna be and how we're getting ready.
Bring your friends and family, and we will see you there. We are looking forward to meeting you!
