Ukraine International Film Festival in Brighton

18-26 January 2023 at the Latest Music Bar and Ropetackle Arts Centre.

In partnership with the Latest Music Bar Brighton, Ropetackle is delighted to co-host the first Ukraine International Film Festival. Featuring a diverse selection of films, from narrative shorts and documentaries to feel-good rom-com and hard-hitting dramas. This will be a unique opportunity to experience Ukrainian culture and history through film. The festival is directed by Nataliya Valda, Director of Ukrainian film production company Valmedia, aided by Murray Woodfield, Director of UK Film Festival London, and produced by Nataliya Valda and Latest Group CIC, the not-for-profit community organisation run in association with a local television channel, Latest TV. The festival runs for nine days, with screenings at Latest Music Bar from 18-26 January and at Ropetackle from 23-25 January. The festival launches at the Latest Music Bar on Weds 18 Jan. Come and experience a diverse selection of world-class films created by leading Ukrainian filmmakers.
